Poland certainly did refuse Syrian refugees back in 2015 but has welcomed Ukrainian refugees in large numbers because they are neighbours and Poland is seen as next in line if Russia succeeds in defeating Ukraine. In the case of Ukraine religion does not seem to be a criterion.
