The person that has to survive this day doesn't cares about polluting, only about surviving the day.

But that person is not the one poluting! And that is the problem. We could have a much simpler and more equitable lifestyle without being reduced to living in mud huts. I fear you are missing the point - yes, under capitalism it is necessary to have growth so that everyone can have a little bit more (and the one percent have a lot more). At some point we do have to say 'enough'. That point is now for the majority in Western societies.
