That’s a travesty of the legal psition in the UK and much of Europe. I don’t know about Canada. Under UK law you can not just change your legal gender on a whim. You have to obtain a Gender Rocognition Certificate which requires you to meet certain criteria, including a documented mental health diagnosis of gender dysphoria. I’m guessing it is a stressfull process. To dismiss it in the frivolous way that you and Tom have done shows ignorance and insensitivity. I have chosen those words carefully because they are, in my view, an accurate description of your expressed view. They are not intended as insults.
