Thanks AP. When you say "PR" is least flawed ", how do you define PR? There is a variety of systems with varying degrees of proportionality in the outcome. Pure PR would necessitate an election in which each voter chooses only his/her preferred party rather than between named candidates. The parties would then appoint the allotted number of individuals to parliament.
The list system used in some countries is a variety of this in which the parties provide lists of candidates they would like to see elected in quite large (relative to UK constituencies) from which voters select who they want to represent them.
