I'm old enogh to remember the 1970s when people escapoing the Vietcong in small vessels were sympatheitcally referred to as 'boat people'. How times change! They,of course, were not headed for our shores. BTW I am a migrant. I moved to Ireland from UK upon retirement 15 years ago.
