Further to my comments on specific points in the text, I must add that I concur with the substance of what you are saying. We absolutely do need traditional, moderate Liberalism to chip away at both extremes. Improvement is always better than destruction and rebuilding - especially when the demolition squads can't agree on the design of the new building!
