I am a retired engineer. In my time I have worked in capital intensive industries and for defence oriented companies. I regret some of that but, like another commenter, I had to feed my family. My grand daughter is studying bio-medical engineering. She is diabetic and relies on an insulin pump — designed by engineers, of course.
